About Us
Mission
To assist in creating and supporting RER affiliates that adhere to the goal of helping to eliminate racism through interactive and personal programs that educate and empower youth.
History
The RER model was created in 1989 by members of The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom and a diverse group of individuals committed to bring anti-racism education into the schools of their community. Initially created as an all-volunteer, community-based effort, the group solidified, created a council and raised resources to enhance the program and its support materials. RER’s versatility, flexibility, and effective presentations resulted in requests for assistance in launching RER affiliates around the country leading to the creation of a national organization with the goal of spreading RER affiliate programs throughout the United States.
